When Canadian drag racing fans think of muscle Mustangs, chances are the name Joe DaSilva will be mentioned in the next breath. The Toronto-based owner of Canada's "Mustang Central" J&P Performance, has since 1990 consistently had the fastest Pro 5.0 class cars in existence. DaSilva was the first Mustang Pro 5.0 racer to enter the 7.5, 7.4 and 7.5 seconds barriers and was the year 2000 NMRA (National Mustang Racing Association) World Champ.
