. . . Here is an exclusive first peek at Glen May’s fantastic new Ford Ranger Pro Modified Truck. May, who is from Richmond, BC., anticipates debuting the newest "Cranberry Connection" in June. The machine, which will replace his hard running Ford Thunderbird, will feature the latest high tech Cannon/Pittman swing bar chassis and will be powered by a 525 CID supercharged "Boss Hemi" Ford motor. . . . Eastern Canada’s thriving Pro Modified scene has a formidable new Pro Modified equation to contend with in 1999. Niagara Falls area racers Kasey Janzen and Ed Wiens have consolidated efforts and will run an aggressive full season with their new Dana Canada Corporation sponsored Chevy Lumina Z-24. Team driver Janzen, who took his former Chevy Beretta Pro Mod to some blinding speeds will employ exclusively Ed Wiens motors this season. Look for the team to attend all seven Canadian Drag Racing Series event stops as well as a number of IHRA Top Sportsman Quick 8 ventures.
