Well as you are reading this DragRaceCanada is returning from Edmonton reporting on the now complete Inaugural IHRA Rocky Mountain Nationals. But as you
know Todd and I strive to keep our DragRaceCanada audience as entertained as possible so we have a little something special while we are both away.
We made the trek down to Bowling Green, Kentucky for the Inaugural National Hot Rod Reunion which was presented by Holley. The event and turnout
was simply "Mongo". NHRA organizers have done a fabulous job with this program and the inaugural event was a raving success. NHRA really achieved what they sent out to do -- capture the essence of a old time drag racing event. It truly was like stepping back in time both from a facility and racing schedule perspective. Quite often I gave myself the chills just looking around! Here is just a taste of some of the sights at Beech Bend Park last weekend so let your imagination run with it.
We would like some feedback on this NHRA event -- so please post your thoughts on the DRC message board. I would like to see NHRA bring a big one like this
to Canada sometime....
(PS: In the final frame that is your infamous DragRaceCanada Editor posing with his all time favourite drag racing vehicle!)
