Elliot Lake Ontario with host it's 5th Annual OK Tire North Shore Challenge this July. Race Director Stephen Hollingshead has provided DragRaceCanada with the lastest scoop on the event which continues to grow exponentially....

Speedorama definitely got everyone's MOJO going for the upcoming drag racing season and it couldn't have been more evident than at the "Show Me The Money Tour" booth with Carl Jessup's ADM Motorpsorts soft tail dragster being a triple winner. The 5th Annual OK Tire North Shore Challenge, July 9-11, 2004 at the Elliot Lake INTERNATIONAL Airport Dragway is the favourite stop on the tour and is the only airport event that can boast itself as INTERNATIONAL. 6 racers drove up from Michigan last year and took back some cash and they all plan to tell all their friends about it for 2004.

In 2003, the races broke all attendance records both with drivers and spectators. 9,000 spectators lined the runway to see 308 racers take their turn at the $27,000 purse. Our Title Rights Sponsor for 5 years in a row, OK Tire Inc. drove up from Toronto and sat upfront and centre to witness the spectacle of Airport Drag Racing at it's best! Budweiser, Quaker State, NAPA, Zellers, Pepsi , Fast Eddie Racewear and MCTV all followed suite and are unanimously back on board as corporate sponsors in 2004!!! VIP attendance was also at an all time high as all our corporate sponsors enjoyed ice cold beverages compliments of Budweiser Senior Manager, Peter Furnish.

This year the OK Tire North Shore Challenge is proudly welcoming Canada's only Jet Funny Car to Elliot Lake for it's first run ever in Ontario!! Brad Janishewski with his jet powered Honda "Rollin Thunder" will be in Elliot Lake a few days prior to the event and quite possibly making a stop in Sault Ste. Marie for a photo shoot en route. Also scheduled to appear for the first time in Elliot Lake is Richard Hutchins all the way from the State of Florida with his wheelstanding Chevy Rebellion, this vehicle is sure to be another crowd favourite! Back by popular demand is The Can Am challenge between Jet and Alcohol, scheduled to take place at the track both days.
