It has become both a Canadian tradition as well as one of the most anticipated and rapid events on the entire NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series schedule.
Mission Raceway Park will host the Lordco B.C. Nationals this coming weekend......
It’s the time of year that every drag racing fan waits for, when the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series returns to town.
It’s the Lordco B.C. Nationals at Mission Raceway Park this Friday to Sunday, and the biggest NHRA drag race in Canada will have something for every fan of the world’s fastest motorsport.
 Topping the list are the awesome Top Alcohol Dragsters and Funny Cars, 3,500-horsepower monsters that do the quarter mile in 5 seconds at over 260 mph! Over two dozen of these cars are entered, each looking for a spot in their respective 8-car fields.
The action will be non-stop at the Lordco B.C. Nationals, and when the dragsters and funny cars take a break, several hundred of the best sportsman racers in B.C. will take on the invaders from Alberta and the West Coast of the U.S. in several different eliminator categories.
One of those categories is the wild, wheelstanding muscle cars of Super Stock Eliminator, and as an added bonus, a race-within-a-race called the West Coast Hemi Shootout will see the baddest of them all, the Chrysler Hemi-powered Barracudas and Darts from across North America, in 150-mph combat on the ultra-quick Mission quarter-mile.
It’s three days packed with racing action, starting each morning, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, at 9:00 am. The feature Alcohol Dragsters and Funny Cars have qualifying sessions at 3:00 pm Friday, and noon and 4:00 pm Saturday, and their first round of eliminations goes Sunday at noon.
Friday’s admission of just $10.00 includes pit pass, while Saturday and Sunday admission is $20.00, plus $5.00 for pit pass.
Mission Raceway Park is located on Highway 11 between the Mission Bridge and the Lougheed Highway.
