Canada's highly anticipated 5th Annual IHRA Mopar Canadian Nationals (presented by Castrol) are only a scant couple weeks off. Here's a quick summary of everything you need to know...

WHAT: 5th Annual Mopar Canadian Nationals presented by Castrol featuring the Eaton Electrical "Night of Fire", race four of the 12 event Hooters IHRA Drag Racing Series

WHERE: Grand Bend Motorplex, Grand Bend, Ontario, Canada. The track is located at 70292 Grand Bend Line, Grand Bend, Ontario, N0M 1T0

WHEN: Friday, June 11 - Sunday, June 13, 2004

WHO: The stars of the Hooters IHRA Drag Racing Series, including three-time (2001, 2002, 2003) World Champion Clay Millican, Bruce Litton, and Canadian Todd Paton in 320 mile per hour Top Fuel dragsters.

From Calgary, Alberta, Glen Kerunsky and Rick Distefano, defending champion Mitch Stott, Harold Martin, and Jordan Station, Ontario's Carl Spiering in nitrous vs. supercharged Pro Modified wars.

World Champion Rob Atchison of London, Ontario and 5-time World Champion Mark Thomas in Funny Car.

"The World's Fastest and Quickest Pro Stock Cars", featuring IHRA's version of NASCAR, the 210 mile per hour factory hot rods of John Montecalvo (Chevrolet Cavalier), Carl Baker (Cougar), World Champion Brian Gahm (Ford Mustang) and Rick Jones (Dodge Stratus) in Sunoco Race Fuels Pro Stock.

Champions will also be crowned in eight Mr. Gasket sportsman classes: Erson Cams Top Sportsman, Mallory Top Dragster, ACCEL DFI Super Stock, Hays Stock, ACCEL Quick Rod, Lakewood Super Rod, Hurst Hot Rod and Top Stock.

"NIGHT OF FIRE": Saturday's Eaton Electrical "Night of Fire" features the final round of pro qualifying, Bob Motz's "Jet Kenworth" Jet-powered semi, Jon Oswell's "Ladder Truck 33" wheel stander, Ken Nelson's "Cool Bus" wheelstander, and a giant fireworks display. This "show" within the show kicks off at 7:00 p.m.

Saturday, June 12: Gates open 8 a.m., Sportsman qualifying 9 a.m. Pro qualifying at 2 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. ("Night of Fire")
Sunday, June 13: Gates open 8 a.m. Championship eliminations: 11 a.m., 1 p.m., 3 p.m. Finals: 5 p.m.
