Improvements Keep Coming At Medicine Hat!

 Alberta's only NHRA-sanctioned racing facility, the Medicine Hat Motorplex, continues to improve in preparation for some high-impact events this season!
The track which has been club-owned and operated by the Medicine Hat Drag Racers Association since 1992, and which received an award for the most improved
track in NHRA Division Six last year, could be in for the running for that prestigious award again. The 2005 racing season will see the debut of a new 330' concrete starting pad as well as an extended shutdown area.
The Southern Alberta track will be the site of it's first ever NHRA Canadian Open later this summer (Sep. 2-4th). Prior to that track will host a Top Alcohol Shootout feature presented by MOPAC Auto Supply (July 1-2nd). That race will pit the TAD class winner against the TAFC class winner for the overall event honour and a first prize of $5000.00. (A handicap start will be based on the difference in the current NHRA records).
 The Medicine Hat Motorplex will in 2005 for the first time feature racing in Top Comp and Super Street classes.
