Ontario Nostalgia Drag Racers Reveal 2005 Schedule

The fledging new Ontario Nostalgia Drag Racers Association has firmed up it's inaugural racing schedule. The series will feature many fine vintage cars
owned by it's ever growing membership.
 The Ontario Nostalgia Drag Racers (ONDR), is the fastest growing nostalgia club in Ontario, featuring some 90 members and 60+ race cars. New members, each with their own piece of drag racing history, join us every week as we prepare for our FIRST season of racing.
Our rules are simple. Your vehicle needs to have been manufactured prior to 1972 and able to pass the technical safety Inspection at any IHRA or NHRA track.
The goal of ONDR is to bring nostalgia style cars out of storage and back to the tracks and to the fans who remember these cars. We have dragsters, altereds, and Super Stocks. You can see them all at any of the events we attend.
Does the sight of "those high flying wheel standing straight axle" cars from the 30's, 40's and 50's, excite you?
 ONDR is pleased to announce that a large number of these old "Gassers" have joined with us to create a "straight axle class" that is sure to capture your attention and have the crowd on their feet . We are the "Fast Blast to the Past".

Race Schedule- 2005
May 8 - Toronto Motorsports Park - This is the very FIRST ONDR event. A day for members to meet, race, match race, or just test and tune. There will be a short meeting and a barbecue for ONDR members.
June 18 - Grand Bend Motorplex - ONDR nostalgia class racing
June 24, 25, 26 - North Bay Airport, North Bay - Club members have been invited to participate in an open "run what you brung event".
July 15-17 - Toronto Motorsports Park- Canadian Fastest Street Car Shoot Out- ONDR nostalgia class racing. Nostalgia Super Stock cars will participate in an open class with a $1,000 payout.
July 23, 24 – Lancaster Dragway -Willys Home Run / Sunday Niagara Reunion - Willy's show and picnic on Saturday - Racing Sunday - This years event includes a nostalgia Super Stock class. This is an open nostalgia event that ONDR has chosen to attend.
August 7 - St. Thomas Dragway - Hot Rod Reunion - This is an open nostalgia event that ONDR has chosen to attend.
August 13 - Grand Bend Motorplex - ONDR nostalgia class racing
August 21 - Toronto Motorsports Park - ONDR nostalgia class racing
September 18 Shannonville Raceway - ONDR nostalgia class racing. This event may include a car show. Watch for updates!
October 9 - St. Thomas Dragway- Iron Man Classic - This is an open nostalgia event that ONDR has chosen to attend.
