Thank You Cervus/JCB….Thank You Castrol Raceway….!

DragRaceCanada’s overall experience at last weekend’s Cars RV & Marine IHRA Rocky Mountain Nationals was an exceptionally positive one.
Beyond the fantastic weather, fantastic racing and terrific fan response was a couple of things which we really appreciated.
You may have noticed by now that many of DragRaceCanada’s on track images from this race (which were also featured on www.IHRA.com and www.CompetitionPlus.com and soon in many North American publications) were from unique and very elevated angles. That would not have been possible without kind accommodation from the people at Edmonton’s Cervus Contractors Equipment who are the exclusive Alberta distributors for the cutting edge British-built JCB heavy machinery line.
DragRaceCanada had exclusive use of one of their machines – specifically a JCB telescopic handler – without which the type of photography we achieved would not have been possible.
Thanks very much to Area Manager Steve Boyd and to our machine driver Scott Lindstrom and everyone else who not only made sure we had the access we needed but also made sure everything we did was done safely.
I also want to acknowledge the presentation I received from Castrol Raceway itself. On Friday night Rob and Kimberley Reeves surprised me during the pre-race with a cool “art deco” plaque in recognition of DragRaceCanada’s support of their facility and events.
I can’t tell you how much that meant to me – so I won’t try. Thank you very much Rob and Kim!
