DragRaceCanada Awards Presentation

 During last weekend's 8th Annual IHRA Mopar Canadian Nationals at Grand Bend Motorplex, DragRaceCanada was pleased to complete it's formal recognition for the winners of the 2006 DragRaceCanada Canadian Drag Racers of the Year on-line poll.
Following some record voting last winter -- three IHRA circuit racers were honored during the event: Victoria Smith -- Sportsman Driver of the Year, Al Billes - Crew Chief/Tuner of the Year & Kenny Lang -- Most Improved/Up-and-Coming of the Year. The three recipients received one of those very handsome "NitroMoose" sculptures which are graciously being provided by Eaton Cutler-Hammer, one of DragRaceCanada's primary presenting sponsors.
 "The race fans have spoken and on behalf of DragRaceCanada's primary sponsors, Eaton, Mopar and Castrol Canada we are very pleased to help give these great racers the recognition they deserve," said Bruce Biegler, Editor & Owner. "Thanks to all the fans out there and our valued sponsors, the DragRaceCanada Canadian Drag Racers of the Year program has quickly evolved into the #1 recognized award for drag racing in Canada. We congratulate all the 2006 winners."
The 4th winner for 2006 was Quebec's Daniel Mercier, an NHRA circuit driver who collected his "NitroMoose" award during last spring's event near Atlanta GA. Daniel was voted the top Professional Driver of the Year.
