Edmonton Full Throttle FC Highlights

 Castrol Raceway hosted the Paradise RV "Full Throttle Funny Car Fever " event Saturday June 14 , 2008 . In attendance for the Exhibition match race in Nostalgia Nitro Funnycar were , Terry Capp in the "Bubble Up" Firebird, Bucky Austin's Northwest Hitter , Mike Grekul for the "Plueger & Gyger" Mustang , Lee Paul Jennings in the "Code Red" Challenger, Tim Stevenson's "Tachman" Mustang driven by Andy Beauchemin , Jay Mageau's 57 "Prospector" , and Mark Sanders "Mr Explosive."
Results
 The drivers had a difficult time piloting their rides when the sun went down. Hooking up to the track was nearly impossible because of the cool temperatures and the dew that settled on the racing surface. Most of the driver's had to lift due to loss of traction. Capp and Beauchemin's driving skills were both tested on separate runs, coming very close to the wall. It was decided to shorten the distance to 1/8th mile for the second run in order to help with the traction.
This marks the last major event before the Rocky Mountain Nationals July 4 - 6, 2008.
