Jeff Veale Wins Thunder Nationals at Martin
David Ostaszewski - May 12, 2008
Coming off a good first outing at the Indy Division Three opener, Hamilton, Ontario, Canada’s Jeff Veale rolled into Martin, Michigan’s Knoll-Gas Motorsports Park, and scored a Thunder Nationals victory in just the car’s second outing. Veale’s A/Fueler started from the number two qualifying position, and posted a 5.55/250 victory over Dave Hedges in the opening round. In the money round, Veale clocked a 5.61/246 to stop Paul Fishburn’s blown Alcohol Dragster.
“This was great”, said a jubilant Veale. “We made four passes today, didn’t hurt a thing and the car is responding to every change we make. We’ll head into Norwalk next week, knowing we have a car we can race with.”
The Veale Racing team will now gear up for the second Division Three NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series event, May 16-18, at Norwalk Motorsports Park, in Norwalk, Ohio.
