 DragRaceCanada "road trips" so far this summer have included a couple of very cool independent drag racing events.
Earlier this month we were privileged to have been able to attend the ADRL's Ford Summer Drags "V" event held at Michigan's fabulous U.S. 131 Dragway. For anyone out there that has not
yet attended an ADRL race -- well -- lets just say you need to change that! An overflow crowd witnessed over 40 Pro Mod cars (!) that were in attendance for the intense 1/8 mile action.
Unfortunately, for the 2nd year in a row at this race Mother Nature was anything but co-operative as the later rounds of eliminations were rained out. That portion of the event has been rescheduled for completion at Topeka Kansas on July 1-2.

 Last weekend we trekked down to simply spectacular Beech Bend Raceway at Bowling Green Kentucky for the 7th Annual Holley National Hot Rod Reunion. While the weather was extremely hot (105 F humidex!) the cars, the racing and the track environment were simply ultra cool. Just walking round the pit area and seeing history at nearly every turn is worth the trip alone
If you have never been -- add it to the "bucket list" for sure.
