Coming in June - Dragsters Vs. Funny Cars!

 Western Canadian drag racing fans should take note of a very significant event scheduled for the Medicine Hat Motorplex in mid June.
Over the weekend of June 12-13th, that quality facility will line up some of the best Top Alcohol racers in the West for the 5th Annual Top Alcohol Shootout event.
The event will be an open field of 16 qualified cars with eliminations showcasing Top Alcohol dragsters running side-by-side with Top Alcohol Funny Cars.
The handicap start (for TAFC) will be determined by the current NHRA national record difference as of June 11th. (Currently that is: 351 secs based on TAFC (5.454 secs) minus TAD (5.103 secs).
The event offers a great payout and amenities including $6000.00 to the winner and $500.00 each to low ET and top speed in both TA categories.
The Medicine Hat Drag Racing Association club will also be offering - free hotel room options for early registrants (received by May 01 2010), a free entry fee for car driver and up to 4 crewmembers and a free steak BBQ for Top Alcohol Competitors and crew which will be held on the Saturday night (donated by Gary Eide Ranch).
 All cars/drivers must meet current Top Alcohol safety rules, chassis certification, license and safety equipment as per the 2010 NHRA rule book.
It will take a run of 6.50 seconds minimum to qualify. 3 qualifying sessions are scheduled with no minimum number of runs. Qualifying will be held Saturday and eliminations on Sunday .
