Queensland’s John Cannuli has taken his maiden win in the Top Alcohol category of the ANDRA Pro Series with victory in Round 3 at Western Australia’s Perth Motorplex.
Cannuli took his Funny Car to the final where he was too good for local dragster driver, Adam Marchant. Both finals contenders had less than perfect passes with Marchant striking trouble early and Cannuli slowing towards the end of the pass. Cannuli's winning time was a 6.756 secs driving his Hennock & Sons Chevy-bodied Funny Car.
Aaron Hambridge had a problem with an oil line in qualifying which ended in a crash and stopped the young New South Welshman from taking further part in the meeting, whilst Gary Phillips and Steven Ham were both eliminated before the final.
The next round of Top Alcohol in the ANDRA Pro Series will be held at Sydney Dragway for the Summernationals, February 12 and 13 2010.

Despite struggling in qualifying, ever-green Pro Stock Motorcycle racer, Phil ‘Bluey’ Howard has taken out the latest round of the ANDRA Pro Series Championship, held at Western Australia’s Perth Motorplex with a near faultless eliminations performance.
Howard took on reigning ANDRA Champion Michael Gilbertson in a super close, side-by-side final with the South Australian taking a holeshot win. His winning time was 7.743 secs at 161.00 mph
Championship contenders Andrew Badcock and Maurice Allen both had weekends to forget but a full field of quality bikes, meant that it was always going to be a tough battle in Perth.
The next round of Pro Stock Motorcycle in the ANDRA Pro Series will be held at Willowbank Raceway for the Top Fuel Championships, April 17 and 18 2010.
