Team Atchison Primed for World Nationals

2003 IHRA Funny Car World Champion Rob Atchison brings the Erickson Manufacturing Pontiac to IHRA Sunoco World Nationals at the Norwalk Raceway Park home of IHRA in second place in IHRA/Hooters points. "We have had some bad luck here in the past but we are very optimistic coming here after our victory at the Northern Nationals" stated Atchison. The car, crew and AJ/Chevy are now performing at the same championship level as last year and even though we are in second place we still have a chance to repeat as Champions. We now trail Mark Thomas by 92 points and over the next 4 races anything can happen to make the title race go right to the wire at Rockingham. To win another championship we have to run consistant and go more 5 rounds then Mark and we have to continue by doing well at Mark's home track of Norwalk. Mark and I are friends and even though we both want the 2004 championship we enjoy racing each other so the rest of the season should fun and be very exciting. I have a lot of Canadian and Ohio fans that go to this race every year and we created a new hero card design just for the "Granddaddy" of all IHRA races.
