Elma, NY. – A victorious Mike Janis and his Eaton Dodge Stratus Pro Mod team are looking forward to returning into the thick of the points chase at Grand Bend after coming off of their first win of the season two weeks ago in Virginia. The Grand Bend Motorplex in Grand Bend, Ontario, Canada will serve as the host for the 6th Annual Mopar Canadian Nationals Presented by Castrol on June 10-12.

It’s no secret that Mike Janis and his Eaton sponsored Pro Modified team have been struggling but, crew chief Mike Janis Jr. is confident that they can still turn the season in their favor. “We’ve been in this spot before. It’s been rough but, last season we came into this race around the same number of points out of first and we were able to take the win here and that win helped propel us to our second world title. I think we still have a shot,” said Mike Jr.

Toronto Motorsports Park is the Eaton team’s adopted “home town “ track. Team owner/Driver, Mike Janis, lives just over an hour away in Lancaster, New York and has been racing at the Cayuga facility for nearly 30 years. Last season Janis picked up his second win of 04’, which stands as his closest event win to home.

“Winning at home last year was great,” said Janis. “Being surrounded by so many friends and family who normally can’t come our events, is just fantastic. Being able to share our win with so many people makes the win in Cayuga last year one of my most memorable. I hope we can find the same results this year.”

Pro Qualifying will begin with one round on Friday during the “Night of Fire” at 8pm. There will be two sessions on Saturday, one at 3pm and one at 7:30pm with eliminations beginning Sunday at 11am.
