Pro Mods @ Calgary - This Weekend!
WCPMA - August 16, 2007
The West Coast Pro Mod Association is just two days away from the second to
last race of the year in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The fans will get a
great show as the 2007 WCPMA Championship Points chase has come down to
three racers with only two events left.
In July the West Coast Pro Mod Association came to Calgary and Keith Korecki
went on to win the race in his return to the WCPMA after taking
time off to get his new motor set up complete. Korecki is looking to step up
this weekend in hope of winning both Calgary events this season. But
challenging Korecki this weekend will be Dan Vogt of Regina, Saskatchewan
and Joe Delehay who is from Calgary, Alberta.
This race is crucial for Dan Vogt who one the first race of the season in
Salt Lake City and is also important for 2006 WCPMA Champion Joe Delehay
if either one wants to catch Trevor Lowe in the 2007 points chase. Lowe
currently has a 400 point advantage over Vogt and Delehay after winning
the last WCPMA event in Boise, Idaho at the Nightfire Nationals when he
defeated Dennis Radford in the final round of eliminations.
Delehay was crowned the 2006 West Coast Pro Mod Champion last year at this
race when Joe Delehay qualified number one and went on to win the race.
"We hope to win back to back championships" said Delehay, "And a back to
back win at this event would be the best way to challange Trevor Lowe for
his number one spot".
