Key Victory for Defending WCPMA Champ!

Joe Delehay and his PM Motorsports team pulled an incredible feat last weekend in the teams home town of Calgary, Alberta. They set the tracks MPH record, qualified number one, had low ET and top MPH of the event, and went on to win the event after defeating point rival Dan Vogt in what was the closest final round this season.

Delehay who won this event last year said "We did everything we had to in order to regain the number one spot". Delehay picked the perfect time to regain the number one spot as their is only one race left on the 2007 WCPMA schedule as racers will be heading to Billings, Montana September 1-2.

  2. Dan Vogt - 6.79 @ 217.75
  3. Trevor Lowe - 6.81 @ 214.23
  4. Vern Mills - 6.91 @ 199.02
  5. Keith Korecki - 7.033 @ 201.88
  6. Tom Meheden - 7.058 @ 202.61
  7. Gary Mason - 8.155 @ 119.69

In round one Delehay had a single pass, Dan Vogt defeated Gary Mason, Tom Meheden beat Trevor Lowe who couldnt make the call due to mechanical difficulties, and Keith Korecki defeated Vern Mills.

In the semi-finals Delehay had another single as Keith Korecki had motor issues after his first round win, and Dan Vogt defeated Tom Meheden.

The final round saw number three in point Joe Delehay against number two Dan Vogt. The winner would take Trevor Lowe's number one spot in the Championship Points Standings. Delehay had the whole shot as Dan Vogt chased Delehay down the track. Vogt had the better MPH but Delehay has the Better ET and reaction time in what was the closest Final Round this season.

With one race left on the WCPMA 2007 schedule the point battle will be a close one as Joe Delehay is sitting in the number one spot, with number two being Dan Vogt and Trevor Lowe in the number three spot.
