North Bay Show Me The Money Update
Arnie Malcolm - January 12, 2008

NORTH BAY SMTM TOUR EVENT CONFIRMS $10,000. TO WIN SUPER PRO EACH DAY:

To say that the North Bay Airport Benson Auto Parts Show Me the Money Tour has lead the way with the airport events, would be pretty accurate. As they where the first airport venue to install a concrete starting line, and now they become the first airport venue to increase the Super Pro Payout at their event to $10,000 to win both Saturday and Sunday. The race to be held on June 20-21-22 will also feature a full Friday test and tune, Friday night Street Car Cruise Night, a "run what you Brung" Gamblers race and the night of fire jet car show. Yes North Bay is certainly leading the way as we head into the 2008 season and beyond. The event will be expanded to three full days, with testing starting at 12:00 pm on Friday, (gates will open at 8:00 AM) Two entrance booth's will be set up to handle the racer's entrance in an effort to get them in and registered faster than in previous years. Tech inspection will take place from 12:00 until 6:00 pm on Friday as well. Street car racing will be the big push, but all entrants will be allowed to run time trials and test runs for as long as the track is open. Friday night will see the gamblers race take place with entrants having to register at the control tower for this portion of the show, no one has to run in this but it is a great chance to get your feet wet, and your reaction time's honed before the big days, Saturday and Sunday. We will finish the evening out with a night of fire jet car show and street car cruise night. So some very big news for the North Bay Race to say the least as with out question we expect to see many more Super Pro Entree's because of the $10,000. to win each day, this brings the Bay Race right in line with the Luskville Dragway Bracket Bonanza and once again confirms the title of richest drag racing series in CANADA. I would also like to point out that we will be holding a drivers meeting in North Bay, location still to be decided on April 12th of 2008. We would encourage everyone to attend as this is a time to ask questions, learn more about the sport you love and get acquainted with the drivers you compete with at the event every year. We will have a number of the Tours Super Pro Drivers on hand to assist in driving related questions, including delay box's, reaction times, roll outs, starting line techniques and anything else you would like to discuss.
