Calgary Cacklefest In the Works?

 Alberta drag racing fans may want to mark their calendars for August 29-31st. Those are the dates announced for an interesting event which will be staged at Race City -- Vintage Drag Racing Nitro Madness.
Organized by Dave Inglis the event is being touted to be Canada's first ever push start Cacklefest and Racers Reunion.
 According to Inglis the list of potential attendees is an impressive one including: Herm Petersen (Petersen & Fitz AA/FD), Jerry Ruth AA/FD, Hugh Tucker A/MR, Wayne King (Doss Clayton &King A/FD),
Jerry King (Jr Fuel), Stan Canter( Eagle Electric A/FD),Don Love & Lynne Bruchs ( John Wiebe AA/FD), Brent Siemens (A/FA).
 "During the weekend we will also be hosting some fuel Altereds," said Inglis. "Randy Bradford, Dave Hough, Ron & Brian Hope and hopefully Mousie Marcellus( Marcellus & Borsch). We are also expecting some Nostalgia T/F Dragsters and Funny Cars."
 The event will also feature the richest Stock/SuperStock Combo Race in Canada boasting a purse of $10,000 (based on an estimated 50 cars entered). This independent event a non-sanctioned affair.
