Driver Jeff Chatterson began his drag racing career in 1989. After first running a roadster and a dragster with Ford power in E.T. Brackets, he and his father purchased a Chassis Craft rear-engine dragster in 1992 which they campaigned in class as a B/Dragster in NHRA Competition and IHRA Modified eliminators.
That Ford-powered car set and reset both ends of the IHRA B/Dragster record (1994-95) and propelled Chatterson to a national event win during the 1996 IHRA Empire Nationals at New York International Raceway. The team finished 13th in final IHRA Modified eliminator points in 1996. That same season Chatterson Racing scored two wins on the Ontario Pro Comp circuit -- both at London Motorsports Park.
The team turned Pro in 1998 when they debuted their new Super eliminator car. Since then they have been competitive runners at numerous IHRA Snap-On Tools national events. Their unique Ford-powered car has not only gained the respect of class racers but is also toast of Ford racing fans all across North America.
Funding for the independent and family run race team comes from Chatterson Machine & Tool Company Ltd. (Brantford, ON) which is owned by Rick Chatterson. Associate backing is provided by Millar Diesel & Performance (Scotland, ON).
