Don Thomas is one of Western Canada's most recognized drag racers. Over the last 20 years Don has won several NHRA Divisional races competing from Vancouver BC to Columbus OH and everywhere between.
The year 1998 was Don Thomas Racing team's most successful season so far. They earned back-to-back wins at NHRA Federal Mogul points meets at Brainerd, MN., and Seattle WA., while enroute to the Division Six Super Stock Points Championship.
Don and his crew chief (wife Nancy) currently campaign a 1989 Chevy Camaro which is powered by Frank Kirchner built 327 CID and 350 CID engines. They compete in GT/EA or GT/DA respectively.
The team has a respectable record of five semi-final round appearances at NHRA National events so far. The current racing season is an all out commitment to competition at more national events with a goal of fostering even greater results.
Don's partnership with Louie Bossio at A.M.S. (Automotive Machine Services) has greatly contributing to the overall team success. AMS's complete machine shop and dyno services are second to none.
1999 saw the expansion of Don's racing interests with the inception of Don Thomas Racing Tires -- the Northwest distributor for Phoenix race ties. They have continued to expand their client base through performance, service and availability.
