Eaton Cutler-Hammer Motorsports

Carl Spiering, is recognized and regarded as one of Canada's top rated drag racers. Carl's extensive motorsports background includes APBA Power Boats, Snow Mobile Drag Racing, DIRT Modifieds and Professional Drag Racing in NHRA, NMCA and IHRA. When Carl is not at the race track, the very successful Canadian businessman is hard at work directing a very successful truck repair service center (C.A.R. Automotive) as well as one of Canadas leading trailer and transporter resources (The Trailer Shop).

During the late 1990's Carl formed a racing partnership with the Persico Brothers, comprised of New York natives Dave and Mike. Together they first raced a 1967 Chevy Camaro in IHRA Pro Modified both nitrous-injected and then supercharged on alcohol. Their efforts landed a one year major sponsorship association (during 2000) with Extreme Championship Wresting. Within the Pro Modified class, the Persico Brothers are regarded as pioneers. Dave Persico operates Daves Automotive in Orchard Park, New York.

Beginning in 2001, the team first aligned itself with it's primary sponsor Eaton Cutler-Hammer, a diversified multi-billion $ global company that is an industry leader and manufacturer. That association evolved into the 2002 season, which saw the team launch an innovative cross-Canada tour that saw the Eaton Cutler-Hammer Motorsports '57 Chevy as a popular attraction in competition coast-to-coast across Canada.

The Eaton Cutler-Hammer Motorsports 1957 Chevy replica, constructed by LowDown Hot Rods, is powered by a 526 CID supercharged aluminum engine by Thundercraft Race Engines. Important components include a Kobelco supercharger, a fuel system by Redline Design, a Lenco 3-speed transmission, a Mark Williams rear end assembly and Simpson safety equipment.

Important associate sponsorship for the team is provided by Pace American Trailers, The Trailer Shop, Yamaha, Dave's Automotive and Pennzoil.

Carl Spiering is the owner and operator of The Trailer Shop (located in Jordan Station, ON). His line of Pace American Trailers are considered the number one choice by racers across the country. Their high standards of quality and reasonable prices are what attract not only racers but also any one in the market for enclosed trailers.
