Tracy and Mike Ferstl created Ferstl Racing Enterprises in 1990 when they realized the dynamic sport of drag racing was more than an event. Its a culture all to itself and a fantastic opportunity to travel the countryside and meet interesting people from all walks of life through the sport of drag racing.
Tracy and Mike reside in Calgary, Alberta and compete in Super Street/Super Pro competition in NHRAs Division 6 . When not competing at the regional level, they are supporting the local bracket racing scene at Race City in Calgary and Labatt Raceway in Edmonton. Newly transplanted from Ontario, the team is adapting to the high altitude and thin air conditions of the mountainous terrain of Western Canada.
Mike has grown up around the sport of drag racing from a very young age. He started bracket racing his street car at the age of 16, however did not get serious about the sport until the early 90s. When a local neighbor decided to sell his daily driver, the Chevy II was purchased and transformed into a full time ride. Today the car sports a 406 cu. in. SBC with a two speed powerglide and has run a best of 10.08 at 131 mph in full throttle trim.

What does the year 2000 hold in store for Ferstl Racing? The team will campaign the full NHRA Canadian National Open series in Western Canada. In addition the team also plans to compete in June at Grand Bend, Ontario for the IHRA Mopar Canadian Nationals and catch up with old racing friends.
