The Kerunsky Racing Team began racing in 1992 when Glen campaigned a full bodied 1991 SS 454 Pickup Truck complete with glass windows and stereo. The 4900 pound Chevy ran a career best 9.80 seconds before being retired in at the end of 1995. Glen stepped up into the Pro Mod class with a beautiful 1996 1/2 ton Chevy with the body and chassis built by Tim McAmis Race Cars of Hawkpoint, MO powered by a 706 cubic inch Charlie Buck Nitious Motor. Having had great success with the 1996 Truck Glen had McAmis Racecars construct a 1999 Chevy S-10 which began the season with Nitrous Oxide before stepping up to an Alan Johnson 481X Chevy. Glen's immaculate and clean looking trucks were crowd favorites as they stood out from the norm in Pro Mod.iin the form of a . will run the full IHRA schedule.
2003 brought a new look and feel to the Breckenridge Excaviting sponsored team as Glen got his wish drive his favorite kind of car when Tim McAmis built him his 57 Chevy Bel Air. The 57 made her maiden voyage in Darlington,SC and Glen laid down a career best to that point a 6.26 # 1 qualifying spot. The 57 Chevy was again the # 1 qualifier at the West Coast Pro Mod race the next week in Las Vegas. The team continued to improve with experience and won the 2003 West Coast Pro Mod Championship. The 2004 season began with Glen winning the 2004 IHRA Texas Nationals at San Antonio and he finished Runner-Up at Milan while running selected IHRA events. The majority of Glens races were still with the West coast Pro Mod Association. The fall of 2004 saw Glen turn his motor program over to IHRA Funny Car Champion Rob Atchison and his father Bob's Atchison machine Service of London, Ontario.
Glen and the Team decided to run the NHRA/AMS Pro Mod Series in 2005. The team scored a victory at the Gateway Nationals in St. Louis and finished 8th in points even though they missed 2 races when Glen and Cindy's new home in Priddis was flooded. After succesful off season dyno-testing with the Atchisons the 2006 season began with a runner-up at the NHRA Gator Nationals in Gainesville, FL. Then it was off to San Antonio and the IHRA Texas Nationals where the team repeated their first IHRA career victory. The Team had decided to commit to the full IHRA/Emax Series and it was of to Rockingham where Glen finished runner-up. The team headed home to the Grand Bend Motorplex where they again finished runner-up and added to their points lead.
The Kerunsky Racing Team is made up of driver and Crew Chief Glen Kerunsky, Mike Gondziola, Mike Pople and Glen's wife Cindy. Glen and Cindy have 2 daughters Cassie and Georgia who attend college.
