Konigshofer Motorsports campaign Canada’s quickest and fastest Ford Pro Stocker. Our current car is a 2008 Jerry Haas-built Ford Mustang GT featuring 822 CID Ford "Shotgun" Hemi that is rated at 1800+ HP.
Konigshofer Motorsports is recognized as a professional operated racing team. The team has been racing in the Pro Stock class since 1991 and since that time has set numerous Canadian Pro Stock records. Driver John Konigshofer was the first Canadian Pro Stock racer to break into the six second zone in Canada (1993). Since then he has rewritten the Canadian record on numerous occasions including to: 6.95 secs 199 mph (1993), 6.92 secs 202 mph (1994), 6.87 secs 203 mph (1995), 6.79 secs 204 (1996), 6.75 secs 206 mph (1997), 6.72 secs 207 mph (1998) and 6.66 sec 208 mph (1999). John Konigshofer was the first and only Canadian Pro Stock driver to eclipse the 210 mph barrier -- which came in 2000. In 2002 Konigshofer Motorsports became the first Canadian drag racing team ever to win national event titles in Pro Stock.
Considered one of the top runners within IHRA’s grueling mountain motor Pro Stock division, Konigshofer Motorsports has been a consistent and long term series threat. They finished 11th in final world points in both 1994 and 1995, and had a top ten finish in 1996. In 1997, 1998 and again in 2000 they placed 12th in final IHRA World Championship points. In both 1999 and 2001 they finished 13th.
Konigshofer Motorsports has been featured in many television spots including, ESPN, ESPN2, TSN, TNN and BBS. They have appeared in numerous North American racing publications including, Super Ford, Drag Review, National Dragster, Performance Racing News, Ford High Performance and Super Stock & Drag Illustrated. Driver John Konigshofer was nominated for "Canadian Driver of the Year" by Performance Racing News three consecutive years (1995-97). He was also on the ballot for voting for Car Craft Magazine’s prestigious All Star Drag Racing Team in 1997.
Off track Konigshofer Motorsports has been actively involved in the Racing Against Drugs; an awareness program operated by the RCMP which positions racing as an alternative to substance abuse. The team also has been involved with other charitable events, including those for Camp Trillium and the Sunshine Foundation.
