Tim Martin Racing -- established in 1992 is founded on one principal goal: to campaign high performance race vehicles in a professional manner. Since he was 16-years old and attending Innisdale Secondary School, team driver Tim Martin has been racing cars.
Current vehicle is a 97 265" dragster built by Mike Bos (Chassis Craft Industries) in Buffalo N.Y. Power comes from a 632 CID nitrous-injected big block Pontiac.
The Tim Martin Racing Team first drove into the record books when in 1998 -- Tims first year behind the wheel of his Top Dragster -- he pounded out at 6.56 ET over 206 MPH to earn the title as Canadas fastest nitrous assisted rear engine dragster. This record was reset by Tim in 1999 when he blew away the Top Dragster class with a stout 6.52 ET over 207 MPH. Martin finished third in final 1999 Canadian Drag Racing Series Quick 8 points.
In 1999 Tim Martin became the first Canadian driver ever to earn the pole position in the IHRAs Top Dragster class during national event competition. He paced the record quick field during the 1999 Mopar World Nationals at Norwalk, Ohio with a run of 6.572 secs which was low ET of the event.
Team recognition includes Tims family, in particular father Wayne, who self taught his way to the teams very effective nitrous-oxide injection tune-up. Tim Martin Racing offers special thanks to its primary sponsor, NOS Nitrous Oxide Systems in California, for there continuous support which allowed him to turn his racing dreams into reality. Valuable associate support is also provided by Karbelt, Pro Signs (Barrie, ON) Sony, Al Billes Racing (Barrie, ON) and Wolfworks Racing.
