The Toronto area is home to arguably what is Canadas premier two-car Super Street (10.5 tire) racing team. The Lazzaro Brothers, Joe and Steve, are active and respected players within Canadas Fast Street Car scene with their two meticulously prepared and identically painted machines. Steve has been driving the teams 69 Camaro which was first debuted in 1995, while Joes incredible 70 Chevelle was introduced in 1998. The team is focused primarily within Eastern Canadas thriving OSCA circuit, but has also participated at major Street Car shootout events in the U.S. including the Orlando World Street Car Nationals, and select Super Chevy circuit stops.
The Chevelle, which weighs 3300 lbs, features a 433 CID all aluminium motor assembled by Fast Time Motorsports in Chicago. The fuel injected engine features a single-stage nitrous-oxide system and a 400 Turbo Transmission by A-1 Transmissions. The chassis is by Competition Motorsports. The Camaro scales at 3150 lbs and has a 480 CID steel Oldsmobile engine also assembled by Fast Time Motorsports. Also fuel injected, with a single stage nitrous oxide system, the car features a custom made sheet metal intake manifold, a clutch by Ram and a 5-speed Liberty transmission. The Camaros chassis has been updated by Luc Querin at LE Chassis. Both cars employ Mickey Thompson tires mounted on Weld Wheels.
