Mobile Motor Sports was formed in the year 2000 with the purchase of a Top Alcohol Funny Car. The current car features a 2000 Dodge Avenger carbon fibre body atop a Bowman chassis. Power comes from a 528 CID Keith Black Hemi featuring BAE cylinder heads. The supercharged is a Littlefield/Kobelco retrofit with a custom injector and fuel system designed and built by Scott McVey. Power is fed through a Crower 3-disc clutch en route to a Lenco 3-speed transmission. From there power is transferred to the ground through a custom fabricated 9 Ford rear end assembly.
Mobile Motor Sports Inc., is currently in a marketing partnership with Hooters of Fargo (North Dakota), Lucas Oil Canada and McVeys Mobile Auto Service. Associate sponsors included MDA (Muscular Dystrophy Association) in the United States and MDAC (Muscular Dystrophy Association of Canada) in Canada. Mobile Motor Sports also receives valuable product assistance from Fel-Pro Gaskets, Champion spark plugs, Lucas Oil, Goodyear Canada (engineered products division) and Quick Chick Racing (apparel for female race fans).
Mobile Motor Sports competes within the NHRA (National Hot Rod Association) and the IHRA (International Hot Rod Association) at events in both Canada and the United States. The team also frequents various trade and product shows.
