Kenny Lang’s classic-looking supercharged 1953 Corvette has become a favorite for race fans. Kenny Lang, the owner and operator of a major Winnipeg-area automotive collision and restoration facility (Kenny Lang Auto Body), acquired the car in late 2004.

The potent Corvette is powered by a 526 CID Hemi engine which features Brad Anderson billet cylinder heads, a Kobelco supercharger equipped with a carbon fiber injector. Horse Power supplied by Al Billies . 3-speed Lenco transmission and a 2-disc AFT clutch system. Machining for all Kenny Lang Racing motors is done by both Brad Anderson and Ken Murray (Ken’s Custom Engines). All assembly is conducted in-house by the racing team itself.

The new Corvette which features a stunning and award winning paint scheme, cloaks a state-of-the-art double frame railed chassis which was built by Tim McAmis Race Cars.

Lang’s racing roots also includes being a frequent runner within the “Midwest Wildbunch Association”, a circuit that boasts all supercharged cars. Lang was their overall series points champion during the 2001- racing season.

Prior to racing his Corvette, Lang first built his reputation running a very fast and supercharged alcohol burning 1967 Camaro. That “Outlaw” car was over time coaxed from a high 9-secs car into a mid 7-secs car running a best of 7.60 secs at 185 mph. That was followed by a 2001 Pontiac Firebird which was campaigned for a number of seasons very successfully and which ran a best of 6.56 secs at 214 mph. Kenny Lang’s biggest career win came driving that car when he prevailed at the W.C.P.M.A. event at Billings MT during the 2003 season.

Kenny Lang graduated to the IHRA national event scene in 2003 when he raced in Pro Mod at Edmonton’s Inaugural Rocky Mountain Nationals. Racing plans continue to call for full IHRA national event appearances and West Coast Pro Modified Association events.

The 2007 season has been strong with going to the finals in Rockingham, qualifying 1st in Edmonton and breaking the E.T. and MPH track records. Qualifying 3rd in the Torco Shootout and winning!! ….
