Since 2003 Edmonton’s Randy Bykowsky, who is a Materials Supervisor for a major Alberta-based heating and air-conditioning company, has been chipping away in the demanding Nitro Funny Car category. He is the driver for a Funny Car operation that is owned by Leon Prevost.
In 2007 the team began to race their most advanced car so far, running a modern day chassis and a 2005 Chevy Monte Carlo body which they acquired from Terry Haddock. The cars features a 7000 HP Keith Black motor program which includes key components from Bill Miller Engineering, Erson, Manley, and Rage Fuel Pumps. The team also employs a 14-71 SSI supercharger and a Lenco reverser.
The aspiring team is in fact both influenced and supported by John Force Racing. Neil Fedderly, who is their crew chief, is the nephew to legendary Canadian tuner Bernie Fedderly.
Since first starting out in 2003 with mostly match races, the team has evolved into an occasional participant within the IHRA national event drag racing circuit. During 2007 they ran both the Rocky Mountain Nationals at Edmonton and the Canadian Nationals at TMP which was in fact their first time in competition at the national event level. They did in fact qualify for their first race out at Edmonton.
