The Larry Dobbs Racing School is a mechanically oriented school that which specializes in some of the necessary fundamentals required to properly maintain and compete effectively within the sport of drag racing.
The school offers various courses, either one-on-one or for your entire team* in:
Slider Clutch Class ($190.00* per student) - topics include theory of operation (with plate load charts, lever angle charts, etc), types of clutches, recommended maintenance, clutch service (clutch machines) clutch adjustments for track conditions (including tire shake) and analyzing actual computer tapes showing proper clutch management. Class includes a 25-page manual.
Fuel Injection Class ($220.00* per student) - Starts with a basic system and builds to state-of-the-art super-charged systems. All components are explained and starting points are recommended. Class includes the dos and don'ts, what flow bench information to ask for and review of actual computer tapes for fuel pressure analysis. Class includes a manual.
Lenco Transmission Class ($160.00* per student) - Step by step tear down and rebuilding instruction. Power flow, ratio charts and recommended maintenance schedule. (Note: Students are encouraged to bring and repair their own racing transmissions). Class includes a manual.
Blower Rebuilding Class ($150.00* per student) -- Course covers proper method to measure a blower to determine when a re-strip is required. How to time a blower and how to re-strip a blower. Class includes a manual.
