E.R.D (ENGINE RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT)

E.R.D (ENGINE RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT) During 2005, Ontario-based drag racer and successful businessman Carl Spiering revolutionized the high performance engine market within Canada with the formation of E.R.D. Engine Research & Development Company.

The state-of-the-art engine building facility offers its clients some very serious value added services. At the centre of the initiative is comprehensive and versatile engine building which utilizes the most advanced dynometer available in Canada.

E.R.D. is home to a D.T.S. (Dynamic Test System) dynometer, the first of its kind to be introduced within Canada. That machine has outstanding capacities and can handle a wide variety of motors from Junior Dragsters up to and including 3000 HP supercharged or nitrous-injected powerplants. The technology is in fact exactly what most of the top level Pro Stock and Pro Mod teams have access to. The benefits are that the D.T.S. not only accurately maps and graphs engine RPM and torque – but also changes in acceleration.

Spiering’s E.R.D. Company is 100% available to the public. E.R.D. prides itself on a user friendly atmosphere which includes efficient installations as well as a full range of high performance expertise and services. This is accomplished though utilizing Carl Spiering’s vast experience in Drag Racing combined with Terry Vince’s extensive 15-year history in building naturally aspirate engines.

For the customer, that equates to a wealth of racing experience and past success.
