VP RACING INTRODUCES IMPROVED FORMULAS FOR C23™ FAMILY OF RACING FUELS
SAN ANTONIO, TX — FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – VP Racing Fuels today introduced improved formulas for its C23+TM and C23++TM racing fuels. The C23 family of fuels was introduced several years ago to offer several options to racers with nitrous applications, large 800 cubic inch IHRA-style drag race engines and/or 10.5 series cars. C23+ and C23++ were originally formulated to offer incrementally more protection against detonation than C23, which has a motor octane of 118. “With this new formula, C23+ and C23++ will offer even more protection than before for engines with higher octane demands or compression ratios even higher than the 18:1 limitation of C23,” said Bruce Hendel, VP’s Global Sales Manager. “Racers should see better performance, in part due to the improved cooling effect of the new formulas.”
“While C23 is a spec fuel for Pro Mod cars in NHRA Competition Eliminator, it’s important to note the new formulas for C23+ and C23++ are not on the accepted fuel list for NHRA nor IHRA and will not pass the di-electric test,” added Hendel.
