VP Racing Powers Pro Stock Finalists

READING, PA (October 1, 2006) – Motorsports 2007 Presenting Sponsor VP Racing Fuels has a long standing reputation for powering the NHRA's premier car and bike classes. VP's C25 blend added an exclamation point to that reputation at Maple Grove Raceway Sunday as Pro Stock Winner Greg Anderson set Top MPH of the event, running 208.91, while his teammate, Jason Line, set a national record for Low ET with a 6.609. For normally aspirated, gasoline powered race engines these numbers were remarkable.

C25 also powered Karen Stoffer’s Pro Stock Bike win over Gino Scali to complete the weekend, as well as Michael Phillips’ Top MPH mark of 193.18 and Angelle Sampey's Low ET of 6.939.

Anderson's win in Pro Stock kept him within reach of points leader and teammate Jason Line as the NHRA National Event tour heads to Virginia Motorsports Park near Richmond, VA, October 6-8. Regardless of which driver secures the season title, 2006 will be the 31st consecutive NHRA Pro Stock World Championship fueled by VP Racing Fuels products.
