Trish Biro - January 23, 2007
RPM MAGAZINE FORGES RELATIONSHIP WITH NEW WEST-COAST RACING ORGANIZATION, WCHRA.
RPM Magazine announces Complimentary Subscriptions and Prestigious RPM Editors Choice Award program in conjunction with West Coast Hot Rod Association Series.
Anything to benefit the racers and this industry, is the way I look at it. explains RPM Editor, Chris Biro. The new West Coast Hot Rod Association series will provide West Coast racers and fans with additional action, resulting in increased media attention and overall general awareness of this sport. In our mind, this can only be good for the industry as a whole. Lets face it, the more quality racing that is created, the stronger and more widespread this part of drag racing will become. Biro goes on to say, The show of any racing organization revolves around its racers, so it only stands to reason that the racers need the perks. This is our way of showing that we are behind them, right from the start. Racing is a tough game and these folks need our support.
"I am very happy to be associated with such an excellent publication and the dedicated staff that produce it. says an excited Don Chavez, President of the West Coast Hot Rod Association, just a few short weeks before the WCHRA first event. We are proud to announce that RPM will be the Official Publication of the WCHRA, and that we are starting a partnership to include many exciting endeavors in the future. RPM has extended a warm welcome to our racers by offering free subscriptions to the first 100 registered members of the WCHRA on top of a permanent discounted subscription rate program. They (RPM) will also be presenting a prestigious honor at the conclusion of the season, (the Editors Choice Award), which will be presented to the team that they feel captures the true spirit of sportsmanship and success that we all as racers pursue. Thank you RPM!
The RPM Magazine Complimentary Subscription portion of the program will award FREE subscriptions ($30 value) to the newly formed West Coast Hot Rod Associations next 100 new members. So get your membership in now at www.westcoasthotrod.com and you may be one of the lucky recipients.
The highly acclaimed RPM Magazine Editors Choice Award will be presented to the WCHRAs most outstanding performer for the 2007 season. This award package will include a custom designed award created by Pro Photo Productions (www.prophotoproductions.com) as well as a host of other exciting prizes. The award will be chosen by the RPM Magazine team and will go to the one racer/team that stands out during the season. Biro, explains, The RPM Editors Choice Award is something that we take very seriously. We feel it is one of the most prestigious awards within this specific area of motorsports and we start the selection process from day-one of the new season. Of course, as with anything we do at RPM, we are completely non-biased in our decision making process and consider everyone in every class within the organization. Our Editors Choice Award recipients may not necessarily be Class Champions but then again they may Rest assured that the final decision will be mine, but not without substantial input from our entire RPM Magazine team.
